If I buy the downloadable version, am I am to make sample copies of material if necessary for instruction?

John,

Thanks for your question, because it gives me a chance to answer it for everybody (I get this question a lot).

If you buy the download copy of our book, Woodshop 101 for Kids, you’re welcome to use it however you like (including making copies) with your direct family. If this is for an outside group i.e. Cub Scouts, then I would ask that you use the book as a teacher’s guide for yourself to then show the kids how to build the projects. Now, with that being said, I’m not a stickler over not copying any of the book.

You are more than welcome to copy parts that will help in teaching. Some examples would be copying the “Things You’ll Need” section and the “Cut List” for the kids to obtain there own supplies. The full size pattern for the step stool would obviously need to be copied and handed out to students. Really, anything that will better enable you to teach the project is okay to copy and hand out. My main interest is in the kids learning woodworking. I simply ask that you don’t copy whole lessons for the kids to take home.

Thanks for taking the time to teach the next generation of woodworkers!

Craig
